    WebServices Licensing Questions

Single User License: Allows the user to use the license code on one machine at a time for their own use.

Server License: Allows the user to install the license on a single FM Server. The user then writes scripts that can be run at recurring intervals (the server is the only software that interacts with the plug-in).

Question: Does the server license only run on server or can it be redistributed amongst clients in the server environment?
Answer: A server license is only to be used on the server. If you have a number of clients that are accessing the server that need the plugin you will need to purchase licenses for those clients. ~ Dave Alter

Developer License: As a developer, you can include the plug-in with your Runtime or as part of your FileMaker solution. You need to make sure the license is not exposed to your clients. The Developer license is also only valid for clients of up to 25 users at one company. If, at that company, you wanted to have your solution used by more than 25 users, you would need to get them licensed, either with Single User Licenses, or a Site License.

Site License: Basically carte blanche... You can install it at one organization for as many users and machines as you like.

A site license would be for a company to use it without restrictions or number of users or servers.
